About AirTwo
Technology Status
AirTwo is currently in the early prototyping and validation phase, with core systems at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3–4. Functional concepts have been validated through analytical and experimental studies, and initial subsystem testing is underway.
As a division of Zerotwo Technologies, AirTwo benefits from centralised technical governance, access to proprietary energy systems such as the CASG and ACM platforms, and a modular integration strategy that ensures compatibility across Zerotwo’s fuel and power solutions.
Development is conducted in alignment with Zerotwo’s R&D roadmap, and all intellectual property, system architecture, and commercial licensing are overseen and retained by Zerotwo Technologies Ltd, ensuring full quality assurance and future scalability.

- AirTwo was born from a simple yet powerful insight: in many regions of the world, wind turbines sit idle due to insufficient wind speeds, wasting massive untapped energy potential. The vision is to transform these underutilised assets into reliable, low-cost, off-grid energy systems by capturing even the faintest breeze through mechanical compression and stored air.
- By coupling wind-powered mechanical systems with compressed air storage, AirTwo can produce constant electricity, cooling, or even water without relying on batteries or fossil fuels. This makes it especially impactful for developing countries, off-grid villages, and tropical climates where conventional wind and solar systems fail to deliver consistent results.
- The long-term goal is to retrofit existing idle turbines and deploy compact rooftop systems, turning AirTwo into a frugal, scalable, and inclusive solution for global energy equity one that replaces expensive imports with locally sourced components and partnerships.
Reimagining Wind Energy for the Real World
- Airtwo is a division of Zerotwo Technologies focused on utilising mechanical wind energy even in the lowest wind speed environments. It retrofits nonoperational or underutilised wind turbines by converting rotational energy into compressed air stored in modular cylinder banks. This air is later expanded on demand to produce electricity at stable output, overcoming the intermittency problem that has long plagued wind power.
- Airtwo systems are especially suited for global south, and off-grid locations. The design is cost effective, using readily available automotive grade gear systems and simple mechanical compressors. Airtwo does not manufacture components directly but operates as a system integrator, working with a network of manufacturers and suppliers under licensing and quality agreements from Zerotwo Technologies.
